In Bellville, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across Texas on weekdays. My wife and I stopped by Empire Pizza Italian NY Style in Bellville after touring New Man's Castle, and all I can say is wow! I can definitely see why they have a 4.9-star rating—this place exceeded our expectations. Guys, don't walk here... run! The pizza is absolutely delicious. It was our first time here, and trust me, we'll gladly make the 1 hour and 15 minute drive back just to eat here again. My wife doesn't play around when it comes to pizza, and even she said it was on point. Ray was incredibly polite, the restaurant was spotless, and the whole experience was outstanding. As a business owner, I don't leave reviews unless they're truly earned, and Empire Pizza definitely earned this one. If you're anywhere near Bellville, do yourself a favor and stop in—you won't be disappointed.

I’m not usually one to leave a bad review, but I wanted to be honest about my experience today. I had Empire Pizza about a year and a half ago, and at the time, it was one of the best pizzas I’d had in Austin County. Today, I drove in from Sealy and ordered a pepperoni pizza and mozzarella sticks. Unfortunately, everything tasted off. I’m not sure if the ingredients or suppliers have changed, but the marinara had a strange aftertaste, the mozzarella sticks didn’t taste right and had no cheese pull, and the pizza was very greasy. I wanted something different from Domino’s, but honestly, I would have been better off staying in town and ordering from there. I probably would not have posted anything, but the food made me feel nauseous afterward, and the other people who ate the pizza said the same thing. Hopefully this was just an off day, because my first experience there was great, but today was really disappointing.
